Michael, along with his brother, and I scouted the area and had an exciting successful hunt when the season opened. Michael knew all the public areas to hunt, and also had access to private lands as well. Michael is passionate about hunting, and strives for success. I recommend you get in contact with Michael if you area looking for a guide service or information about an area you are hunting which you might be unfamiliar with. | I was very fortunate when deciding whom to pick as my guide for this most important sheep hunt for my grand slam ram, selecting Michael Jurad and his team. He had prescouted desert sheep before my arrival and this resulted in my being able to get a great sheep on day one.Everything was as promised.and went without a hitch. I will not hesitate to recommend as an excellent outfit to go with. I look forward to an elk hunt when I finally draw a tag. | A great hunt and experience. Mike is hard working. Knows the area and finds the animals. I harvested a trophy mule deer. The area was far more rugged than I dreamed but his top notch equipment made it possible. I learned a lot about the value of great optics. Mike had great knowledge of history of the area. I love learning about native cultures,and Mike provided information on native people and also the sheepherders that inhabited the area. Staying at the Nuffer Ranch was worth the trip. Sitting and listening at the dinner table was like living in the old west and being around real cowboys. Mike made a comment at the end of the hunt which made a 60 year old man very proud when he told me I was on his A list because I could hike and shoot. Thanks for a great experience and hunt! | I have been fortunate to hunt North Amercia, South America, Asia, Europe and Africa. Thus I have been in contact and spent a great deal of time with many outfitters and guides. In terms of effort, knowledge and dedication Mchael Jurad ranks with the best of them. A year ago my wife and I hunted antelope sucessfully with Michael. It was obvious that he had done lots of scouting before our arrival and ths we were sucessful. This fall I had time for a few days of deer hunting with Michael. Again he had done lots of scouting. The only problem was the weather turned very bad and made hunting very difficult. I just had time for two days of hunting. If I had more time I am sure we would have been succesful on a trophy mule deer. On a side note Michael alwys brings along a great lunch and snacks as prepared by his wife, Nancy. His gear including vehicle and optics are in top condition. I can recommend Michael Jurad with no hesitation. | My sheep hunt with Michael was excellent! Michael did a great job of scouting the sheep over the summer and knew exactly where they were hanging out. He took some pics of the rams and sent them to me in August. That really got me excited about the hunt! Thanks to Mike’s hard work, the hunt was successful on the first day of the season. Without his guidance I doubt that I would have taken such a nice ram. Michael runs a first class operation and I will be booking another hunt for mule deer as soon as I draw a tag. | Michael, Thank you for making my first guided hunt a very positive experience. As this was also my first antelope hunt I am convinced it would have been a struggle without your hunting/guiding skills. Your knowledge of the area and the habits of the game was outstanding. Your ability to spot antelope is hard to match and your ability to judge trophy quality is a must. You hunted hard for me from the beginning to end and I appreciate your effort. | I have been the webmaster for Mountain Man Outfitters ever since it started. Michael has always been a pleasure to work with, and I'll bet he's a pretty good guide, too. Every year, he seems to have a bigger and better set of hunt photos to add to the site. |
